Sir John Hegarty has been central to the global advertising scene over six decades but his message and passion has remained resolutely the same: when the world zigs, zag.
Sir John’s creative awards are numerous. He has been given the D&AD President’s Award, was admitted to the US One Show Advertising Hall of Fame and in 2005 was given a Clio Lifetime Achievement. Sir John was awarded a Knighthood by the Queen in 2007 and was the recipient of the first Lion of St Mark award at Cannes in 2011.
The Global Marketer Conference was held in Sydney in March 2014, and hosted by The Australian Association of Advertisers (AANA) and World Federation of Advertisers (WFA).
