Ed Sanders, Director of Marketing, Glass at Google speaks to marketers at the 2014 Global Marketer Conference about moonshot thinking & adding velocity to the creative process.
Google [x] is a mysterious place which has hatched driverless cars, internet balloons, a contact lens which detects glucose levels, and, most publicly, Google Glass. Ed Sanders will pull back the curtain on Google’s innovation hub, and describe how ideas are evaluated, and the way in which rapid prototyping and a “making culture” add velocity to the creative process. As he describes it, “how we try to write the fiction of the science”. He will share the challenges of building a product which doesn’t exist, pass on the lessons learned and explore ways to empower creative decision-making in a system which makes it increasingly difficult to succeed.
The Global Marketer Conference was held in Sydney in March 2014, and hosted by The Australian Association of Advertisers (AANA) and World Federation of Advertisers (WFA).
