LEADING IN 2015 | RENE CARAYOL

 
Once again through our partnership with The Marketing Academy, on Tuesday 24 March 2015 we were thrilled to open the first of their lecture series on business leadership featuring UK Business Guru, René Carayol.

One of the core strategic pillars of the AANA is to inspire and equip marketers to build strong brands and businesses. This year we will be bringing our members and guests some opportunities to gather around leadership and innovation.

Leading British business guru and media personality Carayol spoke at an exclusive invitation only event held by The Marketing Academy and sponsored by Seven West Media at PwC Australia’s Head Office in Sydney, as the second installment of AANA’s Leading in 2015 series.

The Lecture was introduced by Kurt Burnette of Seven West Media and guests included the 30 delegates of the Academy’s Australia Leaders Programme along with leading professionals from the world of marketing, advertising and media. Marketing Academy Founder and CEO Sherilyn Shackell said ‘we are honored that René has travelled from the UK exclusively to share his knowledge and insight with the delegates of our programme and The Marketing Academy guests’.

René‘s lecture focused on two core topics, ‘leadership’ and ‘the power of organisational culture’. René demonstrated the difference between ‘leadership’ and ‘management’, showing exactly why managing a little less and leading a little more leads to better productivity and results in the workplace. René said “In recent times, a good management team, strategy and brand was good enough. Today, management alone isn’t enough. It’s now time for leadership and ‘inspired leadership’ at that.”
