Australia Joins Global
Ad Net Zero Movement

Australia has officially joined the global Ad Net Zero movement with the launch of the Australian Chapter.

AANA in collaboration with, Advertising Council Australia (ACA), Interactive Advertising Bureau Australia (IAB) Australia, the Media Federation of Australia (MFA) – is set to accelerate the decarbonisation of the advertising and marketing sector in Australia. By applying globally developed principles and frameworks to the local landscape, Ad Net Zero Australia aims to drive meaningful change and position the industry as a leader in the fight against climate change.

Supported by top organisations across agencies, platforms, and advertisers, this marks a new era of environmental responsibility in Australian advertising.

We engage with Federal and State governments, regulators, industry and media to advocate for a strong, sustainable industry.

Advertising Pays

AANA is committed to uniting and promoting the industry through thought leadership that helps the public understand the importance of the advertising industry.

One such initiative was the landmark Advertising Pays report. The second edition of the Advertising Pays report, was launched on October 20, 2023 by the Hon Michelle Rowland MP, Minister for Communications.

The Deloitte Access Economics report “Advertising Pays”, revealed that the advertising industry “$53bn in value to economic growth”. Driving competition and innovation, advertising has the power to improve market efficiency and deliver direct price benefits to consumers. It generates growth across sectors and creates valuable employment opportunities.
